Instant Pot Green Beans
These green beans are so tender and delicious that they will remind you a bit of canned green beans, but with better taste. Perfect for a Thanksgiving dinner or another meat and potatoes meal. This recipe comes from a similar one on pipingpotcurry.com.

Ingredients
- 1 lb green beans
- 2 cups water, for steaming
- 2 TBS butter
- 2 tsp garlic
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Prep the Instant Pot: Put water in the instant pot. Add the steamer basket or trivet, and put the green beans in the basket. Close the lid with the vent in the sealing position.
- Steam: Turn on the instant pot and set on steam mode for 1 minute on high pressure.
- Release and Drain: Once the instant pot finishes cooking and beeps, quickly release the pressure by turning the steam valve. Remove the steamer basket and dump out the water.
- Sauté the Garlic: Place the steel bowl insert back into the instant pot and turn on Sauté mode. Add the butter and let it melt. Then add the garlic and sauté for 30 seconds-1 minute, until golden and fragrant.
- Combine: Add the steamed green beans and cook, stirring gently for 2 mins.
- Season and Serve: Add the lemon juice and season with salt and pepper. Turn off the instant pot, transfer to a serving bowl and enjoy!
